Our suite of information technology courses range from entry-level to advanced, with fantastic pathways to university. Graduates can attain professional membership of the Australian Computer Society. If you’re not currently studying at secondary school and only want to apply for courses at VU, you can apply online direct to VU from 2 October 2017. If you have a strong background in any of the core courses, you can receive an exemption either by passing an exemption exam administered during your orientation program or through successful completion of comparable coursework during your undergraduate studies.

The first 50 points (one semester equivalent) of subjects are chosen to fill in gaps in knowledge from your prior course of study. Your credit for prior learning is formally approved prior to your enrolment at Deakin during the Enrolment and Orientation Program. If youre a full-fee paying student, you may be eligible for a La Trobe College Excellence Scholarship and receive up to a 25% reduction on your postgraduate course fees.

You’ll get a grounding in practical skills, and learn to apply them in policy formation, policing and international relations. If you are enrolled in a full fee paying place, your tuition fees are calculated depending on the course you choose. You will use your knowledge of different programming languages to create games, but your skills could also be used to develop software programs for professional settings as well as entertainment.
